Horalia — tracks the hours you work for each family and what you're owed.

Something broken or unclear? Write to juanmanuelchio12@gmail.com. If it's a bug, say what you did right before it happened — that makes it far quicker to fix.

How it works

You log when you clocked in and out

Horalia does the rest: applies that family's rate, rounds the way you set it in Settings, and keeps adding up what you're still owed.

Each family has its own rate

And you can also create jobs that are billed separately: a deep clean for a fixed price, or overnight care at a different hourly rate.

Multi-day jobs aren't billed halfway

You log each session as you do it and nothing adds up yet. The day you mark the session that finishes it, the whole thing is billed at once.

Night shifts just work

Nine at night to seven in the morning is ten hours, not an error.

You close the account when it's time

When you create the invoice, Horalia gathers everything worked and freezes it into a numbered receipt with a day-by-day breakdown. You can mark it paid, and undo it if you got it wrong.

Frequently asked

I logged something for next week and it isn't in "pending". Is that a bug?

No, that's correct. Work with a future date shows on the calendar as something to do, but it doesn't count as money owed until its day arrives. Before then you haven't worked it, and putting it in an invoice would be billing the family for something that hasn't happened.

I raised my rate and the old hours are still at the old price.

Also on purpose. Work is billed at the rate that applied when you did it. If you raise your price today, January's uninvoiced hours are still billed at January's rate. New entries do use the new rate.

I changed the rounding and nothing already logged moved.

Same idea: hours are frozen when you log them. The new rounding applies to what you log from then on.

I want to fix an entry and it won't let me.

Only entries that haven't gone into an invoice yet can be edited or deleted. If it's already billed, its receipt is closed and may be in the family's hands. To change it, undo that invoice first from the Invoices tab.

When I edit an entry, does the amount change?

It keeps the rate you logged it with. If you change the family or the activity type, then it is recalculated, because it's a different charge now. Either way the form shows you the resulting hours and amount before you save.

I undid an invoice and the next one didn't reuse its number.

Correct. An invoice number that already went out in a PDF is never used again, so that two different receipts can't share a name.

Where are the families? They used to have their own tab.

In Settings, right at the top. You touch them when adding a family and then almost never, so they gave up their spot to the calendar, which is what you look at daily.

Does the family see the note on an entry?

Yes. The note is printed on the receipt you hand or send to that family; the field says so as you type. If it's a note to yourself, better not to put it there.

I changed phones. Do I lose everything?

No, as long as iCloud is on. Your information lives in your iCloud account: sign in on the new phone, install Horalia, and it comes back.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. You can log, invoice and share receipts offline. Syncing with your other devices catches up when you're back online.

What languages does it speak?

Spanish and English, following your iPhone's language. There's nothing to choose.

Does it cost anything?

No. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads.

Privacy, in one line

Horalia collects nothing about you and sends your data to no server: it's stored on your device and in your own iCloud account. The details are in the privacy policy.
