How it works
You pair with a code
When you first open the app, you choose to create a nudo or join one with the code the other person shared with you. No email or password needed.
The pet lives in your widgets
A felt chick or a felt crow that looks the same on both phones: if nobody visits it, it fades out, and if both of you care for it the same day, it falls in love.
Messages expire
The message you leave the other person can expire in an hour, in 24 hours, or stay until you write a new one. It can be scheduled to appear now, tonight, or when you wake up.
The question of the day
It's the same for both of you, and you don't see the other person's answer until you answer your own.
The minigames
Sift, Feathers Aflight and Match feed the pet or give it affection. Draw and Guess is different: one person draws a word with their finger and the other guesses what it is.
Frequently asked
Do we both need to be online at the same time?
No. You can care for the pet, play and leave messages on your own, while you wait for the other person to check in.
Can I see the pet without opening the app?
Yes: from the home screen widget, from the lock screen, or by sending a message or a heart from Control Center, without unlocking your phone.
Does it cost anything?
No. There are no in-app purchases and no ads.
Does anyone else see my messages?
No. Nudo is a private conversation between the two people in the nudo; we don't routinely review message content.
What do I do if someone harasses or abuses me through the app?
Write to us at juanmanuelchio12@gmail.com with as much detail as possible. On a substantiated report, we may delete the nudo involved and block that person from pairing again. More detail in the terms of use.
What devices does it run on?
Nudo is an iPhone app, with widgets, a lock screen view, and Control Center controls.
Privacy, in one line
Nudo has no email-and-password accounts and shows no ads. It uses Firebase, by Google, to sync between the two phones of a nudo what you write and what you care for. The details are in the privacy policy.
